In 2021, the plant lighting market will usher in unprecedented development opportunities. Under the concept of sustainable development, LED plant lighting, as a more energy-efficient, healthier and more efficient lighting method, is becoming a new outlet in the lighting industry, and has become a differentiation for many lighting manufacturers. A "must option" on the road to competition.

Today, we will talk about the new blue ocean of LED plant lighting in the lighting industry from the current situation of the industry, technological development and market prospects.

What is LED plant lighting?

Plants cannot grow without light. LED plant lighting refers to the use of LED plant lights to provide photosynthesis to plants, and its essence is to promote plant growth and increase yield through the adjustment of light quality. At present, there are applications in the fields of food production, cultivation of fruits and vegetables, flower cultivation, medicinal plant cultivation, and mosquito repellent and insecticide.

Plant lighting is mainly divided into four categories: LED lamps, fluorescent lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, incandescent lamps and halogen lamps. Among them, LED has obvious application advantages in the field of plant lighting due to its high luminous efficiency, low heat generation, small size, long life and many other advantages. With the continuous improvement of LED technology, traditional plant lighting is gradually replaced by LED lights.
